This New Haven concert—which was later released as the live album ”LIVE IN NEW HAVEN 1986”—took place over two consecutive days, August 26 and 27. While it’s often said that the August 27 performance was used for the album due to recording issues on the 26th, a side-by-side comparison confirms that portions of the August 26 performance were also included. Recorded from a previously unreleased high-quality audience cassette master, this release not only includes tracks not found on the official album but also runs for over two hours. Furthermore, it features the full-length version of “BEST OF BOTH WORLDS” from the following day, August 27—a track that was shortened on the official release. This is a truly satisfying release that captures the entire set, which arguably should have been released on the official album in the first place!
