The Beatles specialist label HMC now presents “Stowe School 1963” as a newly designed 1CD edition! This release focuses solely on the Birmingham Stowe School concert from the previously issued “Bournemouth 1963” (2CD edition).
Recorded on April 4, 1963, this Stowe School concert gained worldwide attention after being newly discovered in recent years. In 2023, the audio was first broadcast by the BBC, followed by a public unveiling at the British Library, marking it as an invaluable historical live recording.
This edition is taken directly from the original master source, with pitch correction, noise reduction, bass reinforcement, and other audio enhancements. It also restores the concert by adding two missing songs (which were performed live but not captured in the incomplete recording) sourced from another show. The result is the best-sounding version to date, with significant sound quality improvements.
As a historic discovery capturing the early Beatles in 1963, this is an absolute must-have item for collectors, presented in a new jacket edition from HMC!
