A rare collection of original British analog tape recordings from "Revolver", the timeless masterpiece by The Beatles released in 1966 during a period of transformation, is now available from the BEATFILE label!
This release features direct transfers from both the 8-track cartridge stereo tapes and the open-reel monaural tapes, both of which began production in the UK in 1970. The first half, sourced from the 8-track tapes, features a significantly rearranged track order, and the stereo recordings offer a dynamic sound with a different sonic texture than the original vinyl release. The second half features open-reel tapes with original mono mixes, offering a unique mono sound experience that can only be achieved through analog tape. Both sections feature analog reissues that are now extremely difficult to obtain, making this a must-have collector’s item!
