The remixes are recorded in chronological order and are presented in the form of a best-of album, but unlike the single/album versions, the remixes from the multitrack recordings do not include the intro counts and fade-ins/outs that were not heard in the original versions, nor do they include performances, vocal lines and choruses that were not used in the finished takes. The remixes are the latest edited versions of the direct masters of the original studio recordings, including the chorus.
This is a collection of the best remixes of the album, which can be enjoyed as an all-time best, but also has value as an interesting alternate mix collection that differs from the familiar versions, and is recommended for both introductory Queen collectors and maniacal music research.
