QUEEN / A NIGHT AT THE OPERA =THE ALTERNATE COLLECTION= ANNIVERSARY SILVER EDITION (2CD)

A Night at the Opera Anniversary Silver Edition

CD 1: 2026 Newly Edited "Multiplex Stereo Remix" covering the full album + studio outtakes including unreleased audio sources

CD 2: "Elemental Naked Mixes" reconstructed from multitrack tapes in an alternate edit + Remixes & Alternates

Widely praised as the pinnacle of early Queen, the landmark album A Night at the Opera—having marked its 50th anniversary last year—is now released in two distinct anniversary editions: "Silver" and "Gold."

On CD 1 of the Silver Edition, the full album is presented in a 2026 newly edited "Multiplex Stereo Remix" derived directly from the multitracks, delivering a clearer, sharper mix where vocals and individual instruments stand out with heightened clarity. The second half of CD 1 features studio outtakes, including officially unreleased audio sourced from Sarm Studios reel tapes ("RUFF MIX")—highlighting tracks like "People of the Earth (The Prophet's Song)," "Love of My Life," and "Good Company," as well as fascinating work-in-progress audio revealing the creation process of "Bohemian Rhapsody."

On CD 2, the "Elemental / Naked Mixes" reconstruct A Night at the Opera prior to its extensive overdubbing. By isolating multitrack elements into single-track vocals, backing arrangements without harmony choruses, and stripped-down piano or guitar parts, these mixes bring previously buried details to light. The concluding section, "Remixes and Alternates," continues the outtakes with non-album alternate versions. Packed with fresh discoveries and nuanced variations, this newly compiled Alternate Collection—alongside the simultaneously released "Gold" edition—lets you experience the masterpiece A Night at the Opera to the fullest.
