This is the latest remastered edition of a collection of rare recordings from Syd Barrett's tenure as the lone genius at the heart of Pink Floyd in the early '60s who left the band due to mental illness, including new and upgraded recordings. The collection includes live recordings from 1966 before the band's official debut in 1967, live recordings at the UFO Club in 1967, original acetate recordings including the single “See Emily Play”, unreleased songs such as “VEGETABLE MAN” and “SCREAM THY LAST SCREAM”, BBC radio sessions and rare recordings discovered in recent years, etc. The collection contains a variety of rare sound sources from the psychedelic experimental music period of 1966 to 1968, when Syd Barrett left the band. The previously known sources have been upgraded with improved sound quality, and noise reduction and restoration have been done by the latest remastering, making this a complementary edition with the latest editing. This is the latest compilation of the early Pink Floyd albums, a compilation of the “Syd Barrett Years,” which is different from the 70's progressive rock era of David Gilmour, who replaced Syd Barrett, and is full of the unique charm of the 60's. This is a collector's item.
