A newly unearthed soundboard recording from the early 1970s by Mott the Hoople makes its debut!
This recording captures their performance at the legendary British rock festival, “Medicine Ball Caravan.” Taken from the archives of Bob Matthews—the sound engineer for the Grateful Dead, whose scheduled headlining set at the festival was canceled—this is a superb stereo soundboard recording and the latest in a series of rediscovered recordings following the Faces. This is a rare live recording from their bluesy hard rock era, prior to David Bowie’s production, and features the guitar playing of Mick Ralphs—who would later go on to star in Bad Company—making this a must-hear rediscovery!!
