Michael Schenker has released “MY YEARS WITH UFO,” an album of remakes of songs from his UFO days with splendid guests, and is scheduled to perform at Budokan in January next year! This time, the two Spanish shows in Madrid on May 4 and Barcelona on May 5 are both fully recorded from multiple angles, just like the Milan show in the first volume. For these two shows only, Roberto Dimitri Liapakis (a.k.a. Ria) of the power metal band MYSTIC PROPHECY joined the band on vocals, replacing Eric Gronwall who had to leave the band due to his father's sudden illness. His strong and masculine performance will add a different charm to UFO's classic songs. The Madrid show on the first day (4th) was mainly shot from the front row on the left side of the stage with some songs from multiple angles, and the Barcelona show on the second day (5th) was mainly shot from the center of the stage and from the right side with close-up shots from multiple angles. The next tour in the U.S. is scheduled to be performed by Leah, not Eric, but it is unknown at this time which of the two subsequent shows in Japan will be performed. In any case, like the first Milan concert, these two concerts will be held at a small venue, which is impossible in Japan, so you can enjoy a sense of closeness and realism that you cannot experience in Japan!
