"History: Separate Chapter", the second installment in the Alternate Album Collection series for the 1995 album "History (Past, Present & Future Book 1)"—released on Michael’s own label—is here! CD 1 features the entire tracklist from "History Continues", all presented as alternate and remixed versions. It is an “alternate album” in which every track on the original album is presented using different recordings. CD 2, titled “History Extra,” features previously unreleased tracks, demos, and songs not included on the original album—all of which were absent from the first installment. Of particular note are full-length versions of demos for songs like “Innocent Man,” “The Verdict,” and “2BAD,” which until now could only be heard in fragments. The latter half of the album features rarities originally included in “History: Lifestyle,” a promotional item for the album "History". It also includes “MJ Megamix,” “MJ Mega Remix,” and “MJ Urban Megamix”—medley remixes of the representative hit singles from the greatest-hits album "History Begins".
This is a must-have 2026 collector’s edition compilation of rare recordings left behind by Michael, a must-listen for fans.
