Among Michael Jackson's many iconic music videos, Ghosts—a masterpiece recognized by Guinness World Records—is now available as a Special Collector’s Edition! This set features the fully HD-remastered full version, the legendary unreleased original version, making-of footage on DVD, plus the soundtrack and related audio tracks on CD.

Michael personally poured an immense budget of approximately $15 million into the production of Ghosts, earning it Guinness World Records for the most expensive music video in history and the longest music video at nearly 40 minutes. Co-conceived and co-written by Michael alongside horror master Stephen King, and directed by SFX legend Stan Winston, this long-form horror film stars Michael playing five different roles while delivering phenomenal performances to three featured tracks: "2 Bad," "Is It Scary," and "Ghosts." Portraying a humerous yet biting satire of Michael’s own loneliness and anger, it is acclaimed by many as an even greater masterpiece than Thriller. Originally released in 1996 and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival the following year, it was later released in a limited run but is now long out of print.

The DVD includes a complete recording of the main feature at peak image quality thanks to a newly re-edited HD remaster. This definitive edition also marks its debut with custom Japanese subtitles (toggleable on/off). The extra section features the making-of program broadcast on TV in the US and Japan at the time, as well as the unreleased original version from 1993, which was initially planned for a joint release with the movie Addams Family Values under the title Is It Scary?. This rare footage serves as the prototype for Ghosts, sharing the same premise but featuring a different cast. Promo versions of the three featured songs are also included.

The CD contains a newly edited version of the video soundtrack, including alternate mixes and unreleased 1993 demos intended for Addams Family Values.
