METALLICA - FINAL NIGHT IN NORWAY 1986 (2CDR)
LOST AND FOUND
Regular price ¥2,700
Following the release of “MASTER OF PUPPETS,” this show from Metallica’s final Scandinavian tour with Cliff Burton — September 25, 1986 in Lillestrøm, Norway — makes its long-awaited debut!
The following night’s Stockholm concert on September 26 marked Cliff’s final performance and was officially released, while the September 24 Lund show has already been issued by the same label as “ALMOST THE LAST GIG.” Now, this newly surfaced middle date of the tour finally appears for the first time!
The sound quality is comparable to the other two dates — a solid audience recording that captures the atmosphere vividly. Though the recording cuts off partway through “Damage, Inc.”, the quality is good enough to be thoroughly enjoyable, not just of historical interest.
Also noteworthy is that this was the final performance featuring John Marshall on rhythm guitar, filling in for James Hetfield, who was still recovering from injury. An essential and historically significant title no Metallica fan should miss!
