John Lennon's solo album “Mind Games” was released in October 1973 (US / UK in November). The album was controversial at the time of its release due to its change from the politically-charged “Summertime in New York City” to a more introspective content, which was a turning point in the “lost weekend” immediately after its production due to the immigration issue in the U.S. The extended version was newly released in 2024, and the album is now being re-evaluated. DISC 1 is an “AI NEW REMIX ALBUM” featuring new remixes of the latest ATOMS recordings, edited with AI's multi-tracks. The new remixes are different from the various remixes on the latest remastering, as the stereo mixes from the multichannel sources bring out sounds and backing tracks that were buried in the stereo mixes. The second half of the album, “Additional Tracks,” features newly released “hidden” tracks that are not included on the regular release, including “I'm the Greatest” for Ringo, “Rock ‘n’ Roll People” by Johnny Winter, and a single version of “Meet the City”. DISC2 contains the original analog masters from the 1974 release. DISC 2 contains the original analog masters from the 1974 release, digitally remastered to the original stereo mix, not the CD version. The second half of the album contains “AI BACKING TRACKS INSTRUMENTAL”, which consists of backing tracks of the entire album (only “OUT THE BLUE” is included in DISC1), with vocals removed and instrumentalized by AI source analysis and editing.
