Elvis Costello's European tour of the troubled 1993 album "Juliet Letters" includes a soundboard recording of the February 23, 1993 performance in Copenhagen, Denmark, broadcast by a local radio station.
Inspired by Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet," the band performed with the Brodsky Quartet, a string quartet, and co-wrote the lyrics to this experimental and controversial work.
This is a rare live recording from 1993, when Costello challenged himself to explore new "possibilities" with his unique approach full of individuality, which only Costello, who has performed a wide range of jals in a classical style, can do!
