This recording captures the February 17th concert in Cologne, Germany, from Dire Straits' 1979 “Communiqué Tour,” sourced from a radio broadcast in the highest-quality stereo soundboard format. While the ROCKPALAST footage from that year's Cologne show is well-known, ROCKPALAST was recorded on February 16th; this is the separate Cologne concert held the very next day. Bonus tracks include four songs added from the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands on June 4th of the same year. These are also captured from a superb stereo soundboard recording of the radio broadcast. This is an unmissable, essential live recording capturing early Dire Straits!
