BEATLES / ANTHOLOGY ALTERNATES VOL.1 (2CD)

Starting with the latest remix of "Free As A Bird," which differs from the original version, this collection features the oldest surviving recordings, "That’ll Be The Day" and "In Spite Of All The Danger," both presented in real stereo.

The Decca Audition tracks, originally mono, have also been transformed into crystal-clear real stereo. The highly anticipated demo recordings from recent auctions are included in their entirety with improved sound quality. Furthermore, the BBC recordings have been brought back to life in real stereo. Most of the numerous recording sessions are featured in stereo de-mixes that differ from the original releases. Not only is the audio quality superior, but the edits are also closer to the master tapes—the difference is unmistakable when compared side-by-side.

Adding to the excitement, this set includes five tracks from the July '64 "Blackpool Night Out" live performance as newly premiered upgrade sources, delivered in startlingly high-quality stereo de-mixes. Also featured is the October '64 TV show "Shindig!" in a new edit, including rare rehearsal footage where a snippet of "The House of the Rising Sun" can be heard. The main live performance has been reborn with even greater clarity and raw power.
