ALVIN LEE - LIVE IN KANSAS CITY 1983 (1CDR)
GYPSY EYE PROJECT
Regular price ¥2,700
Following the breakup of Ten Years After, Alvin Lee hit the road with his own band on a 1983 U.S. tour, and the March 18 performance at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City now emerges sourced directly from a mixer-fed soundboard recording!
This power trio features Tom Compton, drummer from the Ten Years After era, and Calvin “Fuzzy” Samuels, former bassist of Manassas. The setlist spans classic Ten Years After favorites, a familiar rock ’n’ roll medley, and even a heavier-than-ever cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Hey Joe.”
Captured in excellent soundboard quality, this is a must-hear live recording, delivering fiery performances that showcase Alvin Lee’s post–Ten Years After power and passion at their peak!
